Jenny's Reviews

“I have been directing and writing feature films for over 30 years and have been fortunate enough to have worked with some of the top actors in Hollywood, including many Oscar winners and nominees including Sandra Bullock, Richard Dreyfuss, Blythe Danner, Bruce Dern, Gabriel Byrne, Terrence Howard, Malcolm McDowell, just to name a few.

My latest feature, to be released theatrically through LionsGate a few months from now, is entitled, “The Walk.” Jenny auditioned for a major supporting role in the film, and I chose her over a dozen other actors presented to me by my casting director. Jenny was, by far, the most talented. Jenny was on location with us for 4 weeks and in that time I witnessed an extremely mature, caring, highly motivated, hard working, consistently positive person. I always relished coming to set the days she worked because she always pleasantly surprised me and her fellow actors with her take on her character. A great acting performance is always contingent upon having a great scene partner, and she never disappointed and was an extremely generous actor both on and off camera.

Despite it being her first major motion picture, she held her own with veteran actors Malcolm McDowell, Justin Chatwin, Jeremy Piven and Terrence Howard. All of them gave her high praise, and the result is a stellar performance that I’m sure, once the film is released, will lead Jenny to a long, prolific, and highly regarded acting career. I will certainly hire her again, and I’m sure her impressive work in my film will motivate other film directors to do the same.”

“Jenny Griffin and Chloe Wray Gonzalez are Anna and Lily, respectively, the hilarious class clowns for this play, with a most exuberant
emphasis on clown for Griffin, who perhaps delivers a tour-de-force performance in the Tasmanian-hyperactive energy
she whirls out in the character of Anna. Whenever pacing dragged a bit or the writing sometimes meandered, Griffin brought the energy
right back up every time she came on. It requires a considerable amount of talent to be so utterly maniacal and not lose the audience’s attention and Griffin is a true example of sitcom genius at its peak. Out of all the actors, she was the most believable portraying a teenager.”
