Jenny's Biography

Jenny Griffin was born and raised on Cape Cod, Massachusetts where she began her acting journey at Barnstable High School. She played a multitude of roles during her four years in the drama club including Daisy Buchanan in “The Great Gatsby,” Reno Sweeney in “Anything Goes,” Liesl Von Trapp in “The Sound of Music,” and many more. Jenny went on to co-found a summer theatre company called “Connect the Dots” where she produced and performed in the play “Proof.”

Furthering her work at Emerson College where she graduated with a BFA in Acting in 2019. At Emerson, she was a writer for emMag, a radio show host, co-wrote and produced plays and a one woman show, and was cast in several roles. Her favorite character being Grace Truie in “Living Will,” a Bostonian psychic who served as the comedic relief of the murder mystery plot. She graduated in 2019 and studied to become a yoga instructor the following summer.

Jenny moved to Los Angeles to take her career to the next level. She immediately went on to book the role of Anna in “Antigone: Presented by the Girls of St. Catherine’s” written and directed by the award winning Madhuri Shekar and Reena Dutt. The show played for two weeks in March of 2020 at the esteemed Sacred Fools theatre in Hollywood until the Covid shut down. Even though the show was cut short, Jenny received rave reviews with her “tour-de-force performance in the Tasmanian-hyperactive energy she whirled out of the character Anna,” and was labeled “a true example of sitcom genius.”

Jenny was then contacted by director Daniel Adams, a fellow long time Cape Codder, to audition for his upcoming movie “The Walk.” She booked the role of Cheryl Douglas, best friend to protagonist Kate Coughlin, played by Katie Douglas (Ginny & Georgia.) Jenny describes her take on the character as a “South Boston townie chick meets Frenchie from Grease,” and was able to pursue her love of playing the “breath of fresh air” type role. “The Walk” takes on the heavy themes of racism during the attempts in the 70’s to integrate schools in Boston and Jenny worked to illuminate the open mindedness that some held during that time.

When the film wrapped in Louisiana, Jenny headed back to Los Angeles where she connected with the effervescent Iona Maclean of Zero Gravity Management her professional representative. Jenny is thrilled to have “The Walk” hit the big screen and looks forward to the exposure and future roles.
